Processing of deposits during the Eid Holiday

Thank you for Banking with RAKBANK. We would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your families Eid Mubarak.
In view of the Eid Holidays announced by the Central Bank of UAE based on Moon sighting, and as per our monthly reconciliation system activity during this holiday, please note that any deposits to your RAKBANK account through ATM/EDM, Digital Banking & Central Bank Payment & Settlement System (CBWSI) on 20th April, 2023 will be credited on 21st April, 2023.
Please note that deposits during the Eid holiday from 21st – 23rd April, 2023, will be processed instantly as normal.
Additional to the above, the Central Bank of UAE has declared a holiday for the Cheque Clearing (ICCS) & payment via Direct Debit System (DDS) from 20th April, 2023 to 24th April, 2023. This means any Cheque/DDI payment presented during the mentioned dates, will be cleared/settled on 25th April, 2023.
If your loan, finance, or credit card payments due date falls during the holiday period, kindly ensure sufficient funds are available on your payment due date so we can recover the payment on the first business day after the holiday to avoid any late payment fees/ charges.

Updates from MoFAIC regarding Invoice attestation

Dear Customer,
Thank you for banking with RAKBANK.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) has introduced changes to their Electronic Document Attestation System (eDAS) effective 1st February 2023, to further streamline the invoice attestation process.
As per the latest updates from MoFAIC, invoice attestation will now be undertaken by RAKBANK only if it is requested by the customer in the relevant application form for the following products:
- Short Term Loan Against Invoice / Short Term Murabaha Financing Against Invoice
- Loan Against Trust Receipt (open trust receipt only)/ Murabaha Financing Against Trust Receipts (open trust receipt only)
The updated application forms will be made available on the website and Digital Banking channels at the earliest.
In the meantime, your confirmation for the attestation of invoice with MoFAIC can be provided on the existing application form under:
- Go to the section under “Special Instructions” and select “Other Instructions”
- If you require the attestation from MoFAIC or not; choose accordingly: “Attestation of Invoice with MoFAIC required” - Choose “Yes” or “No”

Important Information: Change in Pricing

Effective 1st May 2023, on account of recent increase in EIBOR rates, the following revision will be in place:
The SME Prime Rate will be increased by 0.50 basis points from 15.00% p.a. to 15.50% p.a.
This will be applied on products priced against SME Prime Rate.
Please note that all other terms and conditions of the respective products would remain unchanged.

Discontinuation of the RAKBANK Klip wallet

To this end, please be informed that we will be discontinuing the RAKBANK Klip wallet effective 23rd of May 2023. Consequently, your Klip account will be terminated and access to the service will be removed on the RAKBANK App.
If you have funds available in your Klip wallet, kindly use the ‘Cash-Out’ option on the RAKBANK App to transfer the funds to your linked RAKBANK Account.
How to transfer funds:
- Open the RAKBANK App
- Click on ‘●●● More’ option (bottom right corner of the screen)
- Select ‘Login to Klip Wallet’ > enter your PIN
- Click ‘Top up and withdraw money’
- Select ‘Cash-Out’
- Select your RAKBANK Account > enter the amount > click ‘Confirm’
