Important Information - Returned Cheques Deliverables in Abu Dhabi

Dear Customer,
As part of our constant endeavor to provide you with a hassle-free banking experience where you don't have to visit the branch or wait in queues for your services, we are revising our process for delivery of returned cheques in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in line with other Emirates.
Effective 7th June 2020, outward returned cheques will be delivered by courier and will no longer be delivered at Branches. However, all cheques of value AED 250,000/- and above will be retained at the branches for collection.
Please note that our courier partners will return the cheques to us if they are unable to deliver it to you within 7 working days, and hence will then be available for collection based on your request at any of our branches.
We are confident that the above changes will help us assist our valued customers better and deliver the service standards that you deserve.

Important Information - Cash Encashment or Bearer Cheques

Dear Customer,
Due to the prevailing situation and our constant review to ensure we maintain the safety of our customers and employees by minimizing physical interactions whilst maintaining our levels of service, we are discontinuing encashment of cash or bearer cheques to your customers at our branch teller counters effective 12th April 2020 until further notice.
Accordingly, we request you to refrain from issuance of cash or bearer cheques to your customers or business counterparts during this time and use the below alternatives instead:
- Issue account payee cheques which your customers can deposit in their accounts through clearing. If you receive a cash cheque drawn on RAKBANK, you can deposit it in your RAKBANK account through our drop boxes or ATMs/EDMs to be paid.
- Transfer funds and make your bill payments through Digital Banking
- Use our Mobile Cash facility self-cash withdrawals or to pay third parties. We would like to remind you that we have enhanced our debit card withdrawal limits to facilitate convenient and easy withdrawals from our ATMs.
Please note that cash withdrawals at our branches will only be allowed exceptionally if the customer is an authorized signatory or authorized representative of the company account as per the Bank’s process and the cheque has been signed as per the signing instructions on the Bank’s records.
