  • Cardholders can enjoy a 15% discount when buying Skywards Miles for self or as a gift Skywards Miles to another Emirates Skywards member.
  • Skywards Miles can be purchased online by visiting emirates.com/ae. Members need to log in to their Emirates Skywards account and follow the Buy Miles process or the Gift Miles process.
  • The 15% discount will automatically be applied upon payment for Skywards Miles, so long as the member is logged in and pays with their RAKBANK Emirates Skywards World Elite Mastercard
  • Skywards Miles can be bought by and gifted to Emirates Skywards members who have at least one prior earning activity in their Emirates Skywards account, earned by flying on Emirates or a partner airline or through a partner transaction.
  • The minimum number of Skywards Miles that can be bought or gifted is 2,000 Skywards Miles and further increments can only be bought or gifted in blocks of 1,000 Skywards Miles.
  • 100,000 Skywards Miles or 200,000 Skywards Miles, based on the membership tier is the combined maximum a member can purchase for self through the Buy Miles products and receive as a gift through the Gift Miles product.
  • Refunds in respect of Skywards Miles purchased are not permitted, unless required by law.

      Risks & Limitations:

  • Additional 5% over and above the Credit Card limit will be allowed to process the transaction. However, any transaction in excess of the Credit Card limit will attract over limit fees.
  • Cards with Credit Balance will not be eligible for Balance Transfer.
  • Cardholders can earn a max monthly cap of 40,000 Skywards Miles or Miles earned on spends up to credit limit.
  • Awarding of Skywards Miles will be reduced to 50% if spend in special categories (such as Charities, Government Services, Bill Payments, Schools, Transits, Transport, Telecommunication, Real Estate, Petrol/Gas stations, Supermarkets, Health & Beauty, Club Membership, Motion Pictures & Theatres, Computer Services, Automobiles & Vehicles) exceeds 50% of total domestic and international transactions for the month.
  • Transactions made through any of the banking channels i.e. IVR, Internet Banking, Mobile, CDMs, ATM’s, Branches or any other RAKBANK payment channels will not be eligible for any cashback/rewards.
  • Skywards Miles are valid 36 months from earned date, and if not redeemed within the expiry period, they will automatically lapse and will be forfeited on the expiry date as specified in the Rewards Statement.
  • Cash withdrawals are permitted only up to 80% of the Credit Card limit.
  • Balance transfer is permitted up to 95% of available balance
  • Smart Cash is permitted up to 80% of the Credit Card limit or 95% of the available balance (whichever is lower).
  • Credit Card cheque is permitted up to 80% of the Credit Card limit or 95% of the available balance (whichever is lower).

    These services are offered subject to approval of the Bank.

 

      Customer Obligations:

  • Customer must disclose their income accurately, provide valid identity and employment details and evidence them with authentic documents.
  • Customer is obligated to make monthly payments due under the Credit Card as per due date to avoid donation amount & finance charges.

 

      Key Terms & Conditions:

  • The Bank may amend the features, fees, charges, terms & conditions of the Credit Card on 60 days’ notice to you in advance.
  • The Bank may amend the profit rates for the Credit Card on 30 days’ notice to you in advance.

 

      Warnings:

  • If you are late in payment or fail to make the applicable payments on the due date, you will pay default finance charges at the rates described in the Service & Price Guide.
  • If you are late in payment or fail to make a payment on the due date, you will pay default interest at the rates described in the Service & Price Guide.
  • If you make only the minimum payments during each billing period, you will pay more in finance charges
  • If you fail to make a payment or otherwise breach the Credit Card terms, this will be a default and the Bank will be entitled, among other things, to:
    • (a) cancel the Credit Card and demand full repayment immediately;
    (b) report the default to the appropriate regulatory authorities including the UAE Central Bank, Al Etihad Credit Bureau and other credit rating agencies, which will affect your credit rating;
    (c) Bring legal proceedings against you.

Terms and Conditions

  • The Tier Miles Earning on cobrand spend offer is open to all Emirates Skywards Members who:
    • are existing RAKBANK Emirates Skywards World Elite Mastercard Credit Cardholders and those who sign-up for the RAKBANK Emirates Skywards World Elite Mastercard Credit Card by 23.59 (Dubai time) on 30th September 2022.
    • have made a purchase using the RAKBANK Emirates Skywards World Elite Mastercard Credit Card during the offer period between 00.01am (Dubai time) on 25 July 2021 and 23.59 (Dubai time) on 30th September 2022.
  • Bonus Skywards Miles issued in relation to sign-up bonus Skywards Miles will not qualify for the Tier Miles bonus offer.
  • When a refund is made on the RAKBANK Emirates Skywards World Elite Mastercard Credit Card, the Skywards Miles total and Tier Miles total will be adjusted accordingly from the Emirates Skywards Member’s account statement.
  • An Emirates Skywards Member who, at the discretion of Emirates Skywards, satisfies the conditions set out above will be awarded Tier Miles in addition to the Skywards Miles normally earned:
    • 1 Tier Mile for every 4 Skywards Miles earned.
    • The Tier Miles summary on the Emirates Skywards member’s account on emirates.com and the Emirates App may not reflect the Tier Miles earned during this Offer Period. However the Emirates Skywards member will be notified of the Tier Miles earned within 4 weeks of the eligible Skywards Miles being credited to their Emirates Skywards account via their Emirates Skywards Miles statement on the Emirates App or online at emirates.com
    • The Emirates Skywards Member will be notified of the upgrade of their Tier status within 4 weeks of qualification where applicable and in accordance with the Emirates Skywards Programme Rules.
  • The minimum Tier Miles which can be earned by an Emirates Skywards Member for this offer is 1 Tier Mile.
  • The maximum number of Tier Miles which can be earned by an Emirates Skywards Member in connection with this offer is 50,000 Tier Miles.
