Cheque book delivery process

Thank you for banking with RAKBANK.
As part of our constant endeavor to enhance our services and ensure a smooth, convenient banking experience for you, we are revising our process for delivery of Cheque books.
You can now nominate an Authorized Person to collect the Cheque book on your behalf from the Courier.
Accordingly, all cheque books will be delivered by Courier to you or your Authorized Person (Nominated by you) going forward and collection of cheque books from branches will be discontinued.
With this change, you can conveniently place your cheque book request through Digital Banking and the courier will deliver it to your Authorized Person (Nominated by you) at your door step if you are not available. Experience hassle-free banking where you don't have to visit the branch or wait in queues to collect your cheque books.
We are confident that this change will help us serve you better and deliver the high service standards that you deserve.

Closure of Corniche and Airport Road branches in Abu Dhabi

Dear Customer,
Effective 1st January 2019, our Corniche and Airport Road branches in Abu Dhabi will no longer be operational. All accounts currently maintained at Corniche Branch will be automatically transferred to our Tourist Club Branch, and all accounts currently maintained at Airport Road Branch will be automatically transferred to our Khalidiya Branch. We would like to assure our customers that their IBAN and account details will remain unchanged.
Please also note that our RAKelite Center currently located in Corniche Branch will move to our Al Jazeera Branch building, office number 202 on the 2nd floor and will be functional from 1st January 2019, for our RAKelite customers. The RAKelite Center operating hours are 8 am to 5 pm, Sunday to Thursday.

Clearing of First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) Cheques or Direct Debit System Payments

Dear Customer,
Further to the Central Bank of UAE announcement of system integration at First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), please note that FAB will not participate in any clearing or payment through the relevant systems between Friday, 30th November 2018 & Monday, 3rd December 2018.
Based on the above, please note the following impact on the cheques that will be received by RAKBANK during the said period:
1. All cheques or direct debit system payments drawn on FAB, which also include FGB and NBAD cheques, for payment to your accounts or your RAKBANK loan/finance received between 30th November, 2018 and 3rd December, 2018 will be cleared on 4th December, 2018. No charges will be applied for the change in clearance date.
2. Any cheque received at any of our branches, ATMs, or drop boxes during the same period will be presented for clearance on 4th December, 2018.

Revision of outward cheque return process in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman for Business and Wholesale Banking Customers

Thank you for banking with RAKBANK. As part of our constant endeavour to enhance our services and ensure a smooth, convenient banking experience for you, we are revising our process for delivery of returned cheques in the Emirates of Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman.
Accordingly effective 15th October 2018, outward returned cheques will be delivered by courier only and a fee* of AED 10.50 per cheque would apply. However, all cheques of value AED 250,000/- and above will be retained at the branch for collection.
Kindly note that our courier partners will return the cheques to us if they are unable to deliver to you in 7 working days, post that you may visit any of our branches to place a request for collection of the cheque.
We are confident that the above changes will help us serve our valued customers better and deliver the high service standards that you deserve. Experience hassle-free banking where you don't have to visit the branch or wait in queues to collect your returned cheques.

Change in our Electronic Fund Transfer request form

Dear Customer,
Our existing Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) request form available on our website and at our branches has been revised based on a review of our business and Central Bank regulations.
The new form has been updated to facilitate VAT payments to the Federal Tax Authority through the UAEFTS system effective 18th May 2018.
This facility is available for Business Customers to pay VAT collected from their clients and for Individual Customers to make VAT payments on behalf of a taxable entity.
You will now be required to enter the GIBAN (Generated IBAN) in the field “Account No/IBAN”. The GIBAN is the Generated IBAN representation of Tax Registration No of the Taxable Entity as obtained from the Federal Tax Authority.
Once you enter the GIBAN on the EFT form, the following fields will be auto populated with the values shown below:

Note: You no longer need to enter “GRI” as the “Purpose of Payment” for VAT payments after 18th May 2018.
