Chief Executive Officer
Peter England became CEO of RAKBANK on 1st November 2013. Before joining RAKBANK, Peter spent seven years as the Head of Retail Banking at CIMB Bank Berhad – a subsidiary of CIMB Group and one of the largest banks in ASEAN – where he managed CIMB Bank Malaysia’s business lines for individual and small enterprise customers in Malaysia, Singapore, and Cambodia and worked on developing a wide range of conventional and Islamic products and services. Peter has over 33 years of working experience in all aspects of retail banking and wealth management, and was based in Asia for 16 years after a banking career in Australia that spanned 17 years. Peter was elected member of the RAK Insurance Board of Directors on 30th August 2015.


Chief Financial Officer
Deepak Majithia joined RAKBANK in August 2013 as the Chief Financial Officer. Prior to this, he was the Country Chief Financial Officer at UBS where he was responsible for the Wealth Management and Investment Banking segments in India, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Philippines. Deepak has over 17 years of experience in the finance function of the banking industry, covering Retail Banking, Wholesale Banking, Investment Banking and Treasury. Deepak is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Chief Risk Officer
Ram was appointed Chief Risk Officer of RAKBANK in February 2016 to oversee all non-credit related risks in the organisation. He joined the Bank in April 2009 as Head of Internal Audit and reported to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors. With over 30 years of banking experience in Operations, Credit Risk Control, and Audit, Ram was the former Global Head of Credit Risk Control, Wholesale Bank at Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore and former Senior VP of DBS Bank limited also in Singapore. Ram is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (FCA), Graduate of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ICWAI), and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) of the ISACA, USA.

Chief Credit Officer​
Mahadevan Radhakanthan joined RAKBANK in July 2013. He was appointed Chief Credit Officer of RAKBANK in January 2017 and manages credit risk relating to all segments including Personal Banking, Wholesale Banking, Banks/FIs/Treasury and Business Banking. With more than 26 years of work experience in Corporate and Commercial Banking across India, Japan and the Middle East, Mahadevan formerly served as Head of SME Credit at Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank and at Emirates NBD. He also held several posts with ICICI Bank and State Bank of India. Mahadevan holds a Master’s degree in Risk Management from Stern School of Business at New York University and Master’s degree in Financial Analysis from ICFAI University in India.

Chief Operating Officer
Geoff Stecyk was appointed RAKBANK’s Chief Operating Officer in June 2015 and is responsible for managing the Bank’s full back-office Operations, Information Technology, Branches, Call Centre, Online and ATM channels, Remittances, Premises, and Business Continuity approach. He is responsible for achieving synergies with the banks assisted and unassisted channels as the Bank strives for seamless customer engagement. Before joining RAKBANK, Geoff spent seven years in Maybank Group in Malaysia in various roles including Group Chief Technology Officer where he led a differentiated regional strategy to use technology as a competitive advantage for both provision of service and cost advantage. Prior to that, he spent two and a half years as the National Head of Bancassurance with American International Assurance in China and three years as the Executive VP of Business Integration at Southern Bank Berhad. Geoff holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Alberta in Canada.

Managing  Director, Wholesale Banking
Rahul Oberoi joined RAKBANK in May 2012 and has been responsible since for growing RAKBANK’s portfolio across the UAE in Commercial Banking. In September 2015, his responsibilities extended to include the Corporate Banking business and FI sales. Rahul has over 20 years of experience in the banking industry during which he successfully launched the mid-corporate business at Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, developed and introduced the SME business for Barclays Bank Plc in UAE, and managed the overall functions of the Business Banking Unit at Citibank UAE. Rahul holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Rotterdam School of Management.

Managing Director, Business Banking
Dhiraj Kunwar was appointed Managing Director of Business Banking at RAKBANK in January 2017. In his current role, he looks after the entire SME strategy, sales and portfolio management. Dhiraj joined RAKBANK in March 2016 as Director of Business Banking to manage the Bank’s Business Banking Asset segment. Prior to joining RAKBANK, Dhiraj spent 5 years at ADCB, where he was responsible for Sales and Coverage of SME business as Senior Vice President. Dhiraj has over 16 years of banking experience in a wide range of roles across India and the UAE with organizations like Mashreq, HSBC and ICICI Bank. He is a certified associate from the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance and also holds a Master’s degree in Business from The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India. 

Managing Director, Treasury
Vikas Suri was appointed as RAKBANK’s Managing Director, Treasury in February 2016. Before joining RAKBANK, Vikas was a career banker with Standard Chartered, having worked with them for almost 25 years across a variety of roles in markets across South and South East Asia. After having built and run large Treasury and Financial Markets businesses in India, Indonesia, Singapore and South East Asia, he was most recently the Managing Director and Regional Business Chief Operating Officer for the bank for the ASEAN region. In this role, Vikas was responsible for the strategy and its delivery across all the business units of the bank in the region, including implementation of large change programs. Vikas holds a Masters in Business Administration from Delhi University in India.

Director, General Counsel and Company Secretary
Nabil Azar joined RAKBANK in January 2016 as a Director - General Counsel and Company Secretary. As a qualified lawyer, he has over 15 years of experience in Banking and Finance Law as well as in Corporate Law. Nabil was directly involved in the acquisition of Royal Bank of Scotland’s Retail Business, in attaining approval by the Real Estate and Regulatory Authority for Barclays Bank PLC following the introduction of the mortgage law in Dubai (2007), and for standardizing terms and conditions and internal policies and manuals at Banque Libano-Francaise SAL (Credit Agricole subsidiary). Nabil holds an Executive LLM in Corporate and Business Law from Northwestern University in Chicago, a certificate in Business Administration from IE Business School in Madrid, and an MBA from ESA [Affiliated to ESCP-EAP].

Director, Islamic Banking
Abdul Karim Juma joined RAKBANK in 2001 and has held various positions throughout his 15 years with the Bank including Phone Banking Manager and District Manager of New Dubai Branches. Abdul Karim then moved on to the Islamic Banking Division of the Bank as Senior Manager of Assets and Liabilities before being appointed as the Director of the Division in May 2015. In addition to managing the Islamic products’ portfolio in his current role, he is also responsible for product development of the Islamic Retail and Wholesale Banking segments. Before joining RAKBANK, Abdul Karim spent seven years working for the Dubai Ruling Family as a Relationship Officer. He has more than 18 years of diversified experience in Retail Banking (Islamic and Conventional) and in Government Relations. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Management degree from Halifax University in Dubai.

Director, RAK Business
Saleh Ali Saleh joined RAKBANK in 1988 and has held various positions throughout his 27 years with the Bank including Senior Manager of Distribution and National Administrative Manager. Before being appointed as the Director of RAK Business in December 2015, Saleh served as Senior Manager of the Bank’s branches in Northern Emirates for 3 years. He is currently a Board Member of RAK Islamic Finance Company. Saleh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from San Jose State University, USA.
